Get some top tips on finding work experience in the NHS
Work experience in the NHS is a fantastic way to gain insight into a particular career. It can also be a valuable way of getting some confidence and experience of caring for people. Whether it is a short or long-term placement, full or part time, or on a structured or informal basis, work experience can help you choose the right career.
The NHS is made up of over 300 NHS organisations across England and each is responsible for arranging work experience. So, you'll need to contact the NHS trusts in your area direct. Ask to speak to the human resources, voluntary services or education and training departments, and they'll be able to give you some guidance.
You might also want to speak to the careers adviser at your school or college who might be able to help. He or she might already have agreements with the local NHS around work experience placements.

Good luck!
