* GRADING *
Level 1 - 20% of grade - checks for understanding and remembering key information (classwork and homework)
Level 2 - 35 % - checks for understanding throughout the unit (labs and quizzes)
Level 3 - 45% - greater depth of understanding to demonstrate thinking critically (projects and tests)
* EVERYDAY *
Please show respect at all times for yourself, peers, the school, and Ms. Beck.
Please communicate with classmates.
Participate in class. We want to know your opinion.
The time to be concerned with your grade is everyday. Be sure to be caught up on your work at all times.
Please ask for help. Do not stay lost.
* ABSENT *
At home, check the website and Google Classroom (for assignments) as there may be work available to do at home.
Upon returning to school, see me during Advisory to:
check the absent folders
check my binder to update your TOC and work in the binder
check in with me to set up deadlines for due dates - do not rely on a classmate
The work may be made up during advisory, class, after school, or at home. We will figure out the time when you see me during Advisory.
* QUIZZES & TESTS *
Study guides are not handed out for quizzes, but I do go over what you need to know.
A study guide is handed out about a week in advance for a test. You are to complete it, correct it in pen, and it will be collected on the day of the test.
Studying for quizzes/tests is your responsibility (which means you should be studying every night).
* PROJECT *
Projects have a rubric so my expectations will be clear. If you misplace it, print up another one.
You will be provided class time to work on projects, which means if you work productively, little work would need to be done at home.
