In addition to learning of great science together, we'll also work on building lifelong skills that will strengthen your work habits and independence. One starting tip is to get to know and use the resources that are available to you. This website and Google Classroom will be central locations for assignments and learning resources,so be sure to check in online as part of your daily routine.

Grading
Assignments are leveled based on the depth of knowledge the assignment requires to demonstrate understanding of a topic.
Level 1 Assignments: 20% of final grade
Checks for understanding of a given lesson.
Examples: Work done in and sometimes out of class, including daily starters, classwork, and occasional homework,
Level 2 Assignments: 35% of final grade
Checks for understanding throughout the duration of a unit.
Examples: Quizzes, labs.
Level 3 Assignments: 45% of final grade
Requires critical thinking and application to demonstrate understanding of a topic.
Examples: Projects, tests.
