I am so excited to work with you all this year! Your curiosity, cooperation, and effort are all going to be key to ensure a successful and enjoyable science experience.
In addition to learning LOTS of great science together, we'll also work on building lifelong skills that will strengthen your work habits and independence. One starting tip is to get to know and use the resources that are available to you. This website and Google Classroom will be your central hubs for assignments and learning resources, so be sure to "check in" as part of your daily routine.
Extra help sessions will be held every Tuesday from 2:40 - 3:40.

Grading
Assignments are leveled and graded based on the depth of knowledge that is required to demonstrate understanding of a given topic. Work is divided into the following levels:
Level 1 Assignments: 20% of final grade
Checks for understanding of a given lesson.
Examples: Classwork. homework.
Level 2 Assignments: 35% of final grade
Checks for understanding throughout the duration of a unit.
Examples: Quizzes, labs.
Level 3 Assignments: 45% of final grade
Requires critical thinking and application to demonstrate understanding of a topic.
Examples: Projects, tests.
