EARLY YEARS
INFANT - Understanding the World
Written by Ms. Jill
Our infant class had a magical exploration of the colour black, beginning with a cosy story time featuring the book "Owl Babies." The children listened with wonder to the sounds of crickets and hooting owls, while taking in the beauty of the dark night sky depicted in the story. Inspired by the tale, the children then brought their own night forest scenes to life through a collaborative art activity. They painted their pages black, pasted green leaves, and placed their own coloured owl pictures onto the scene. A sprinkle of glitter added a touch of magic, representing the twinkling stars in the night sky.
The excitement continued with a captivating sensory play experience featuring black magic water. The children watched with curiosity and delight as black food colouring was mixed into the water, causing the toys submerged beneath to mysteriously disappear from sight. This enchanting activity sparked wonder and curiosity, encouraging the children to observe, explore, and discover the magic of the colour black in a hands-on and memorable way.

This term, the Nursery class explored the themes of “jiāo tōng gōng jù (transportation)” and “yán sè (colours)” through many fun Chinese learning activities. The children learnt Chinese in an immersive way through songs, games, role play, stories, and crafts. While learning “zì xíng chē (bicycle),” the children happily rode bicycles and practiced the sentence “Wǒ huì qí zìxíngchē (I can ride a bicycle).” During the “fēi jī (airplane)” topic, they enjoyed exciting paper airplane races. When learning “chuán (boat),” the children could say “Wǒ yào hóng sè de chuán (I want the red boat)” and also joined a fun sailboat blowing competition. We also held listening challenge activities where the children carefully listened and used clips to choose the correct vocabulary cards. These activities not only improved their Chinese listening skills, but also strengthened fine motor skills and concentration, helping the children enjoy and love learning Chinese.

The Pre-K children enjoyed a fun and meaningful learning experience about the environment during their field trip to Jasmine Park. The day began with an exciting doughnut-making activity, followed by horseback riding. Although some children felt nervous at first, they gradually became brave enough to try and soon enjoyed the experience with big smiles.
The children also met many unique animals such as toucans, raccoons, emus, bats, crows, and many more. They had the opportunity to feed friendly animals like capybaras and interact closely with deers, where they practised being calm and gentle. Through these experiences, the children learned to appreciate and care for living things in a special way.
The trip was filled with laughter, curiosity, and excitement as the children explored nature firsthand. Time passed so quickly, and everyone wished they could stay longer after such a fun and memorable day together with their friends and teachers.

This term in K1 Swimming, our students continued developing water confidence through fun and engaging activities in the pool. We focused on beginner water familiarity skills such as entering the pool safely, moving comfortably in the water, splashing, kicking, and practising simple floating activities with support. The students also explored basic arm movements and learned how to move their bodies through the water with greater control.
It has been wonderful to see the students becoming more comfortable and confident during each lesson. Many showed bravery in trying new activities and excitement in practising their skills. We are proud of their effort, participation, and growing confidence as they continue building important water safety and swimming foundations.
K2 - Field Trip

The Kindergarten 2 students had an exciting adventure visiting the Traffic Police Unit! The children learned how to cross the road safely by stopping, looking both ways, and walking carefully. They discovered why road safety rules are so important for everyone.
The fun continued as the students answered questions about different traffic signs. They were proud to recognise many of them from what they had already learned in class! The visit also helped them understand how police officers work hard every day to help and protect our community.
The highlight of the trip? Climbing onto police motorcycles and sitting inside patrol cars! Hearing the sirens and riding around made everyone smile, laugh, and feel like real little police officers for the day.
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Our Grade 1 students are currently learning to play the boomwhacker, a fun and colourful melody instrument, as part of their music lessons. They are practising together in an ensemble format, combining the unique sounds of the boomwhackers with the beautiful tones of the xylophone. Through this activity, the students are learning teamwork, rhythm, coordination, and confidence while making music together.
For their year-end performance, the students are preparing something very special. Not only will they perform with the boomwhackers and xylophones, but they will also sing and perform movements to a specific song. The children are very excited and have been working hard during rehearsals to give their best performance on stage. Every practice session helps them improve their musical skills while also building creativity, discipline, and cooperation with their classmates.
This performance will be a joyful celebration of all the learning and progress they have made throughout the year. We are proud of their enthusiasm, energy, and dedication, and we cannot wait to see them shine on stage.
Would you like to see their amazing performance? Stay tuned and join us at the year end performance to support our talented Grade 1 students. See you there!

Step into our Grade 2 publishing house, where our young authors are blending Science and literacy for their epic Term 4 project! Stepping up as real-world researchers, students dived deep into the fascinating worlds of forces, electricity, or light. Armed with curiosity, they formulated their own burning questions, investigated the answers, and transformed their discoveries into brilliant, non-chronological reports. But the journey doesn't stop there. These mini-scientists are currently busy revising and editing their drafts, polishing their facts until they shine. To bring their pages to life, they are also incorporating dynamic text features like detailed diagrams, vibrant infographics, real photographs, and creative AI-generated images. Soon, their hard work will be officially bound into a collection of stunning, informative books. Watch out, library shelves—Grade 2's published authors are officially on the way!
GRADE 3 – Field Trip

The Grade 3 students enjoyed a fun, colourful, and action-packed field trip to Depo Nippon Paint! The trip gave students an exciting opportunity to learn beyond the classroom through hands-on activities and interactive experiences.
During the warehouse tour, students observed how products are organised neatly and efficiently before being delivered. The excitement continued in the paint-making area, where students mixed colours and created their very own paint while learning about the careful process of paint production.
Students also explored the moving studio and discovered how camera setups and lighting arrangements are used during filming. They were amazed to see how lights and cameras work together to create professional scenes.
The day ended with fun games, teamwork, laughter, and many cheerful smiles. It was truly a bright and memorable learning experience for all Grade 3 students.

Colours Come to Life: Grade 4 Visits Pacific Paint!
Our Grade 4 explorers recently traded their desks for a day of vibrant discovery at the Pacific Paint Factory in Tangerang! The adventure began with a guided tour of the massive warehouse, where students marveled at the towering stacks of ingredients and the high-tech machinery that keeps the factory humming.
During the visit, our young learners discovered the vital role Pacific Paint plays in colouring our world—from the walls of our homes to the bright stripes on our roads. The highlight of the trip, however, was the hands-on workshop. Working in small groups, students became mini-artists, dipping their brushes into a rainbow of professional-grade paints to create collaborative masterpieces.
It was a fantastic day of learning how science and art mix together. A huge thank you to Pacific Paint for an unforgettable, colourful experience

Grade 5 students recently turned an ordinary school day into an exciting learning adventure during their visit to Kalbe Morinaga Indonesia. Even the nearly two-hour bus ride became part of the experience as students sharpened their awareness of the environment through a lively road trip bingo game filled with observation and teamwork.
Upon arriving at the factory, the students stepped into a real-world classroom outside the school walls. Curious and inquisitive, they asked meaningful questions while exploring how different dairy products are carefully produced. Students continued to use their observation skills to connect the factory processes to concepts learned in Science and Maths, especially innovation, measurement, and efficiency. They were fascinated by the advanced machines that helped make production faster and more precise. The day ended with delicious product tastings, exciting trivia games, and plenty of smiles, as students headed home with curious minds, happy hearts, and unforgettable memories of learning beyond the classroom.
