SWA RoboKnights Represent Indonesia at VEX V5 Robotics World Championship in St. Louis, USA
Written by Dr. Haoken
ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI – The SWA RoboKnights High School team proudly represented Indonesia at the 2026 VEX V5 Robotics World Championship in St. Louis, Missouri, after earning the Excellence Award and becoming Skills Champions at the national championship earlier this year.
The team members representing Indonesia were Moreno from Grade 11, Chloe from Grade 10, Ye Sung from Grade 9, Sara from Grade 9, and Isabel from Grade 8. Together, they carried the Indonesian flag onto the global robotics stage and demonstrated the spirit of teamwork, resilience, and innovation. Competing in the VEX V5 Robotics Competition: Push Back, the team joined top robotics teams from around the world at the America’s Center Convention Complex. For the SWA RoboKnights, this was more than a competition. It was a historic opportunity to represent Indonesia among a global community of young engineers, programmers, designers, and problem-solvers.
During the Parade of Nations, the SWA RoboKnights proudly represented Indonesia, joining students from many countries in a celebration of creativity, engineering excellence, and international friendship. The team was also interviewed by event organizers, giving them the opportunity to share their journey as Indonesia’s representative team and speak about the growth of robotics education in Indonesia. In the competition arena, the team competed in the Engineering Division, where each match tested their robot design, driver control, programming, strategy, and ability to work with alliance partners. In the Push Back game, teams are challenged to score blocks, support their alliance, defend strategically, and respond quickly to fast-changing match conditions.
Across the competition days, the SWA RoboKnights continued to improve. Match by match, they adapted their strategy, strengthened their driving coordination, gained points for their alliance, and defended effectively against opposing teams. Their performance showed important growth, as the team became more confident and more strategic with each competition day.
For Moreno, Chloe, Ye Sung, Sara, and Isabel, the World Championship provided a powerful learning experience. They experienced the pressure of international competition, learned from world-class teams, and developed a deeper understanding of engineering design, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. Their participation reflected the heart of the SWA RoboKnights programme: learning through challenge, improving through reflection, and building courage through action.
Beyond the competition field, the students also explored the city of St. Louis. They visited the iconic Gateway Arch, one of the most famous landmarks in the United States, and attended a St. Louis Cardinals baseball game. The Cardinals, one of America’s most historic baseball teams and former World Series champions, gave the students a memorable experience of American sports culture.
The journey to St. Louis was a meaningful milestone for Sinarmas World Academy and the SWA RoboKnights programme. From national success in Indonesia to international representation in the United States, the team demonstrated courage, curiosity, and commitment.
Now, the SWA RoboKnights are already preparing for the next season with renewed confidence, clearer goals, and stronger determination. The team hopes to build on this valuable World Championship experience, continue improving their design and strategy, and return even stronger in future competitions.
SWA RoboKnights Elementary Students Earn Sportsmanship Award in VEX IQ World Championship
Written by Dr. Haoken
ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI — The SWA RoboKnights Elementary team proudly celebrated a meaningful achievement as Timofei and Haejin earned the Sportsmanship Award in the VEX IQ World Championship.
This award is a special recognition because it celebrates not only robotics skills, but also the values that are at the heart of meaningful competition: teamwork, respect, fairness, encouragement, and a positive attitude toward others. Throughout the competition, Timofei and Haejin demonstrated the spirit of the SWA RoboKnights programme. They worked together to prepare their robot, practise driving skills, solve problems, and respond to challenges during the competition. As young robotics learners, they showed curiosity, resilience, and confidence while learning from every match.
The VEX IQ competition gave the students valuable experience in robot design, coding, strategy, communication, and collaboration. They learned how to make quick decisions, support one another under pressure, and reflect on how to improve after each round. Their participation showed that robotics is not only about building a robot but also about developing problem-solving skills, confidence, and character. Winning the Sportsmanship Award is a proud moment for Timofei, Haejin, and the SWA RoboKnights community. It reflects how they represented SWA with kindness, respect, and integrity while engaging with other teams in a competitive environment.
This experience will be an important foundation for their future robotics journey. With greater confidence, stronger teamwork, and a deeper understanding of competition, Timofei and Haejin are already preparing to continue learning, building, and growing with the SWA RoboKnights programme.
Their achievement serves as an inspiring example for younger students, showing that success in robotics is measured not only by scores and rankings, but also by the way students learn, collaborate, and represent their school with heart.

A Joyful Visit from Orphans to Sinarmas World Academy
Sinarmas World Academy was delighted to welcome a group of children from Griya Yatim Dhuafa Pamulang for a meaningful and enriching visit to the school. The children arrived with cheerful spirits and were warmly received by the school community.
To begin the day, everyone joined fun icebreaker games that filled the room with laughter and excitement. After the games, the children enjoyed playing together at the school playground and had a wonderful time exploring. For snack time, they were treated to delicious donuts and pizza, which they happily enjoyed. A warm lunch was also provided so the children could share a comforting meal together.
During the creative session, the children made beautiful crafts and decorations with great enthusiasm. They wrote inspiring motivational words on their decorations, while the boys also enjoyed making colourful origami. As part of the visit, the school shared gifts of care, including sacks of rice, boxes of Indomie, and eggs for the children to bring home. The visit was filled with joy, kindness, and unforgettable memories for everyone involved. It was a day where kindness wasn't just a concept—it was a lived experience that we will carry in our hearts for a long time to come.
