EY Mother’s Day Celebration: A Pampered Morning with Mom 🌸
Written by Ms. Lecya
This year, our Early Years students celebrated Mother’s Day by treating their moms like queens. Upon arrival, each mother was crowned with a handmade paper crown, lovingly crafted by their child, symbolising not only the day but the queenly role moms play in their lives.
The celebration began with our little ones serving their moms croffles and a warm cup of tea, returning the favour for all the love and care moms give every morning. Laughter echoed, cameras clicked, and countless memories were made in the cosiest way.
Next, students proudly guided their mothers to the spa area. The Drama Room was transformed into a warm, peaceful retreat, where moms relaxed on comfy mats while receiving gentle hand and shoulder massages from their children. A big thank-you to our Junior Student Council, who took the lead in demonstrating the massage steps for our EY students.
The event closed with a heartfelt sing-along of “Row, Row, Row Your Boat” and “I Love You, You Love Me”, strengthening the emotional bond between mother and child. It was a heartwarming scene that brought smiles to every face in the room.
Before leaving, each mother took home a Polaroid photo from our photo booth—a sweet souvenir of a truly special morning.
We thank all the families who joined and helped make this event such a success. Your warmth and enthusiasm filled the space with joy. Most importantly, it reminded us how meaningful even the simplest moments can be, especially when shared with the ones we love the most.
Until next year—Happy Mother’s Day! 💖
ES Mother’s Day Celebration: Together in Colour 🎨
Written by Ms. Lecya
This year’s Mother’s Day celebration for our elementary students was truly vibrant and bursting with colour!
The air was filled with excitement as each mom-child pair arrived with plain white T-shirts, ready to turn them into bright, creative keepsakes through a fun tie-dye activity. Mothers and students worked side by side, unleashing their creativity and expressing their love through colours. Laughter echoed as hands got delightfully messy with dye, and shirts transformed into unique, personal masterpieces.
It was heartwarming to witness the smiles, shared giggles, and proud glances as children proudly showed off their finished creations to their moms.
Alongside the colourful fun, the event also featured a snacks and refreshments corner, where families could relax, connect, and enjoy the moment together. To cap off the experience, a Polaroid photo booth gave moms and kids the chance to pose together, capturing the love and joy of the afternoon in a cherished keepsake.
We extend our warmest thanks to all the families who joined us for this special event. Your enthusiasm and presence helped create a meaningful celebration, filled with colour.
Until next year—Happy Mother’s Day! 💖
INFANT - Understanding the World
Written by Ms. Jill
This week, our infant class had a delightful time learning about the colour orange! We kicked off our adventure by meeting our feathery friend, Orange Hen. The children were all smiles as they explored her light, soft, and fluffy feathers while singing and dancing to the song "Put the Feather On". This activity supported sensory awareness and early listening skills.
Our curious little scientists also participated in a fun and safe colour-mixing experiment! Using just their hands, they tapped and splashed yellow and red paint on the table, watching in awe as orange appeared like magic! This hands-on activity encouraged cause-and-effect understanding and strengthened their fine motor coordination.
The fun continued with orange-themed sensory tubs filled with orange rice and pasta, where the children practiced grabbing, pulling, and scooping, boosting their fine motor skills, tactile exploration, and hand-eye coordination.
They also explored the soft, mushy texture of mashed carrots, supporting oral sensory development and messy play exploration. To top it all off, the class had a blast during parachute play, watching the bright orange fabric float and wave—an exciting way to promote visual tracking, body awareness, and social interaction.

Centred around the theme of “transportation”, we designed activities based on the children’s interests. Through a rich variety of experiences, including singing, dancing, games, arts and crafts, role play, and storytelling, we have created a relaxed, enjoyable, and inspiring space for our young learners to explore the Chinese language.
In these colourful and interactive activities, the children have actively participated and naturally absorbed Chinese vocabulary and simple sentence patterns. They not only developed a greater interest in Chinese but also built confidence and communication skills through engaging in the learning process. With the combination of play and practice, our little learners have joyfully embraced the language, confidently attempting to say everyday words and phrases such as “small car (xiǎo qì chē), ambulance (jiù hù chē), aeroplane (fēi jī),” and simple sentences like “I like (wǒ xǐ huan...”.
孩子们在“玩中学,学中玩”的过程中,每天都在不断进步。我们为每一位幼儿的努力和成长感到骄傲,并期待他们在今后的学习旅程中,继续保持对中文学习的热情,勇敢探索中文的美妙世界!
Through “learning through play and playing through learning”, the children continue to make remarkable progress each day. PRE-KINDERGARTEN - Indonesian Language
Written by Ms. Valerina
This week, our little learners in Pre-K explored the theme of recreational places through hands-on fun!
They embarked on a pretend adventure, hiking up a “mountain” (complete with a picnic!) and “visiting” the beach. Wearing hats and sunglasses, they happily enjoy playing in the sand, splashing in a mini pool, popping bubbles, and, of course, playing with toys that complete their fun beach experience.
Taking children on recreational trips isn’t just fun– it’s foundational! By engaging in role-play and creative exploration, children develop:
✔️ Socio-emotional skills (teamwork, sharing, and expressing joy together )
✔️ Appreciation for nature (noticing texture like sand and water, and caring for their environment )
✔️Creativity (shaping sand into animals or objects sparks imagination and problem-solving)
We believe that playful and nature-inspired learning helps children connect with the world around them, and it’s a delight to watch their curiosity grow!
K1 - PE

Our Kindergarten 1 students had a wonderful start to their swimming journey. Everyone was excited to get in the pool and explore the water together. For many, it was their first time practising swimming skills, and we focused on helping them feel comfortable and safe. Using floating devices and poolside support, the children practised moving around the water at their own pace. Each small step helped build their confidence and joy in swimming. We are proud of their progress and look forward to more fun and learning in the pool.
K2 - Literacy
Written by Ms. Czarina
In English class, our K2 students have been enthusiastically building their vocabulary through a variety of engaging and interactive activities. One of the highlights has been the “Go Swat and Read” game—a lively exercise that helps children recognise and remember tricky words while having fun. These kinds of playful learning experiences not only make word practice enjoyable but also encourage students to use new vocabulary in their daily conversations.
To reinforce their learning, students are also encouraged to use these words in complete sentences and to memorise their spellings with confidence. As their language skills develop, they are beginning to write their own sentences and even short compositions. Recently, they wrote about their family vacations—an activity they truly enjoyed. It was heartwarming to see how excited they were to share their stories with their peers, confidently recalling special memories and putting them into words.
We’re so proud of how far our young learners have come, and we look forward to watching them continue to grow as confident and expressive communicators!
GRADE 1 - Field Trip
Written by Mr. Robert
Recently, Grade 1 students had a fun and exciting time visiting Museum Layang-Layang in South Jakarta. The trip was a great way for the children to learn more about kites and enjoy time with their friends outside of the classroom.
When we arrived at the museum, the students were greeted by a friendly guide who told us about the history of kites. The children were surprised to learn that kites have been around for thousands of years and were used for many different things, like measuring wind and even for sending messages.
Next, the students got to see many different kinds of kites. Some were small and simple, while others were big and colourful. There was even a kite shaped like a dragon and another that looked like a horse-drawn carriage. The children were amazed by the different designs and how creative people can be.
After looking at the kites, the students had the chance to make their own unique one using paper, string, and sticks. Some drew pictures on them, while others added stickers and other decorations. Once the kites were finished, the children went outside to fly them. It was a bit tricky at first, but with some help, most of the kites took to the sky.
Overall, the trip to Museum Layang-Layang Indonesia was a memorable experience. The students learned about the history and art of kite-making and had a great time creating and flying their own kites.

Creative Adventure at the Museum of Fine Arts and Ceramics
What do you get when you mix curious kids, a museum full of beautiful art, and a whole lot of clay? A fantastic field trip, of course!
Grade 3 students enjoyed an exciting and educational field trip to the Museum of Fine Arts and Ceramics. The visit gave students the chance to explore Indonesia’s rich artistic heritage while getting their hands dirty with some creative clay work!
The day kicked off with a guided tour around the museum, where students saw beautiful collections of traditional ceramics, sculptures, and fine arts from different parts of Indonesia. They were fascinated by the intricate designs on old pottery pieces and listened attentively as museum guides explained how artists used natural materials and handmade tools long ago. Many students asked thoughtful questions and took notes to share in class later.
But the real fun began when it was time to get messy. With sleeves rolled up and clay in hand, Year 3 became little artists themselves in a hands-on pottery workshop. Some made bowls; others tried their hand at patterned plates. There were giggles, squishy fingers, and lots of proud smiles.
The trip not only sparked the children’s creativity but also deepened their appreciation for traditional arts and crafts.
Well done, Grade 3! You’ve brought art to life with your hands and hearts.
