EY Celebration Of Learning

EY Shining Stars
(to the tune of Fireworks by Katy Perry)
Have you ever felt like a shining star?
Drifting through the sky, may it be near or far.
Colourful hues of December air,
A radiant festival of lights we all share.
Have you ever felt like an open book?
Every chapter read springs a new outlook.
These enchanting hues of the season’s grace,
Celebrating learning, we’re happy to embrace.
And so we gave it a go with the flow
And let it grow
We owned our strengths
Like the trees when they bend
Chorus:
'Cause EY, you're someone we know
You truly let your talents show.
Mom and dad went woah, woah, woah!
As on stage you brightly glow glow glow!
EY, you shine so bright
Like a firework in the night,
A festival of lights, a dance so free,
In the world of progress, where you want to be.
You don’t have to feel like a journey's start
With friends and teachers, they see you from the heart.
If you only knew the joy you always bring
After a day’s work, stories we’re sharing
You’re the reason why we smile all day
We’re here to guide that leads your path to a brighter way
As our days unfold, we find our song
Making memories, we’re singing all year long.
Boom, boom, boom,
Your mind's like a well-lit room, room, room.
The radiance is within you, you, you,
Now's the time to let it bloom, bloom, bloom!
“Share A Box Of Hope” Donation
Written by Ms. Mary-Ann
As the festive season enveloped us in warmth and goodwill, the spirit of giving became even more vibrant. Last December, the Sinarmas World Academy community came together for a heartwarming initiative that promised to make a difference in the lives of those who needed it most.
Our children, the bright stars of our community, led the charge by participating in a special donation drive for our local orphanage. They generously contributed various goods, spreading joy, and creating lasting memories for those in need.
From toys and essential supplies, every contribution, no matter how small, held the power to brighten the days of these incredible children at the orphanage. It wasn't just about the material goods; it was about fostering hope, kindness, and a sense of togetherness during that beautiful time of the year.
The EY teachers, parent volunteers, and their children went to the Yayasan Sosial Tangan Kasih, situated at Jl. Gurita Blok D No. 167 RT. 004/ RW.006 Kel. Kunciran Indah Kec. Pinang Kota Tangerang Provinsi Banten, to hand out packages of love. The generosity and empathy displayed by our youngsters were not only heartening but also a testament to the values we cherish as a community. Witnessing their eagerness to give back filled us with immense pride and gratitude.
Thank you, parents, for being a part of this heartwarming initiative. Together, we made last December a month of blessings for everyone.

ES Sports Day
Written by Mr. Dominic
The exhilarating ES Sports Day at Sinarmas World Academy was a vibrant celebration of athleticism, teamwork, and sheer excitement. Students from various grades eagerly participated in a medley of events that showcased their agility, speed, and coordination. The event, held at our school’s sports ground, was brimming with energy and enthusiasm as participants and spectators alike soaked in the thrill of the day.
Track and Field
The 20-meter dash kicked off the day with a burst of speed. Young athletes displayed lightning-fast sprints, showcasing their quickness and determination. Cheers erupted as runners zoomed towards the finish line, leaving spectators in awe of their speed.
Following the dash, the 20-meter relay added an element of teamwork. Teams collaborated, passing the baton seamlessly, each member contributing to the collective effort. The camaraderie among teammates was palpable as they worked in unison to achieve victory.
The longer distances were covered in the 80-meter run, where endurance and pacing took center stage. Runners demonstrated not just speed but also stamina, showcasing their ability to maintain momentum over a more extended stretch.
The 80-meter relay further emphasised teamwork and coordination, with each team member carrying the baton across the track, relying on each other's speed and precision for a successful handover.
Swimming
Transitioning from the track to the pool, the aquatic events added a splash of excitement. The swimming noodle overload relay saw participants carry five noodles at a time to swim from one end to the other. It was a fun and challenging event for the kids as they tried to swim without leaving a noodle behind.
The swimming treasure hunt added a unique twist, combining swimming prowess with a quest for hidden treasures. Students dove into the pool, eagerly scouring the depths to retrieve treasures strategically placed. This event not only tested swimming abilities but also added an element of strategy and excitement.
Beyond the thrill of competition, what truly shone was the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie that permeated the event. Cheers of encouragement echoed throughout the day, and competitors celebrated each other’s achievements, regardless of the outcome. Teachers and parents alike marvelled at the students’ sportsmanship and their dedication to both individual excellence and collective success.
The ES Sports Day was more than a showcase of athletic prowess; it was a celebration of teamwork, resilience, and the joy of healthy competition. As participants revelled in their victories and learned from their experiences, they not only honed their physical skills but also imbibed invaluable lessons in teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship—lessons that extend far beyond the track and pool, enriching their overall growth and development. The event concluded on a high note, leaving everyone eagerly anticipating next year's Sports Day, where new records will be set, and bonds will be further strengthened through the thrill of sports.
ES Holiday Concert
Written by Ms. Melissa
In a spectacular display of creativity and commitment, students from ES have showcased a musical drama titled "A Green Miracle Christmas”, aimed at raising awareness about pollution and inspiring a collective effort to save the Earth. After months of rigorous practice, the musical masterpiece successfully came to life on stage last December.
The ambitious project, conceived and composed entirely by the school's music team, promises to be a one-of-a-kind holiday concert that not only entertains but also sends a powerful message about environmental consciousness. From the festive tunes to the thought-provoking lyrics, every element of the performance has been carefully crafted to engage the audience in a reflection on the urgent need for environmental preservation.
Preparations for the concert began in the second term, with students dedicating countless hours to rehearsals, perfecting their musical skills, and fine-tuning the choreography. The result of their hard work is expected to be nothing short of amazing, with a seamless fusion of music, drama, and dance that brings to life the spirit of the holiday season while conveying an essential message.
Collaboration performances from grade 3 (shadow performance) and grade 5 (hulusi performance) were really touching performances to start the entire musical production. The storyline of "A Green Miracle Christmas" began with a child in one family that was really excited about Christmas. Because Santa couldn’t come due to the pollution in the town, the child and his friends worked together to clean and ensure Santa can come to town. It was a success and Santa spread happiness. Not only did the concert aim to entertain, but it also served as a catalyst for positive change. By emphasising the impact of individual actions on the environment, the musical inspired the audience to adopt eco-friendly practices in their daily lives.
The event was an unforgettable experience, showcasing the immense talent and dedication of the students involved. As the curtains rose on "A Green Miracle Christmas," the audience experienced a holiday concert like no other—one that not only filled the air with festive cheer but also left a lasting impression on hearts and minds, encouraging everyone to play their part in preserving our precious planet. Good job to all the performers, and thank you to all the parents for their never-ending support.

Junior Stuco Gift Exchange
Written by Ms. Rhea and Jr. Stuco
The holiday season is always a time for giving and some members of the Junior Student Council (Jr Stuco) brought warmth and cheer to two orphanages, Mekar Lestari and Suaka Kasih Bunda, last 14 December 2023. They were the recipients of the student donations from the Jr. Stuco’s 'Give a gift, get a gift' project.
Below are the reflections of our students during their visit to the orphanages:
Mekar Lestari
I love it when we secretly put the gifts under the tree while the children were napping. It is great to surprise them. (Serena, G4)
Sadly, I was not able to see the kids because it was their nap time but I can imagine them being super excited when they see the first. I felt accomplished after we left the orphanage. I also felt grateful for my school, loving family, friends, and nice food. (Jennifer, G4)
Suaka Kasih Bunda
We met two kids and one of them was still very young. She was so cute. I was really happy to meet them. Going to the orphanage was fun and it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. (Edith, G4)
The children were happy to meet us and receive the presents. They waved goodbye as we left. (Wen Jie, G5)
Going to the orphanage was fun and exciting. I was glad that we could give them presents. I also felt like we should be grateful and not wasteful because there are many children who need things that we enjoy. The visit was a really good experience. Thank you! (Aarohi, G4)
The exchange gift was a fun additional activity that enabled the ES students to understand not only the joy of getting gifts but also the value of sharing our blessings with those who are in need.
“The more you share with others,
the more you will receive in life the blessing of abundance.”
