MSHS Personal and Social Development - Preparing for Exams Week

Exam week is coming closer. Preparing for the exams has always been a stressful period for the students, as they need to gain more focus and concentration to understand the materials. At the same time, they feel anxious about their performance and end results.
In times like this, supporting one another can help to create a positive atmosphere as well as put the students quite at ease. Grade 11 and Grade 10 students were encouraged to share their best practices in preparation for the exams, as simple as practising from past papers or sleeping for 6 hours. The words of encouragement were not just for motivating others but actually served as their own “mantras'' for themselves. By sharing and posting their best practices and experiences, the senior students did not only boost their own confidence but had a chance to show care to the younger students and within their peers.

SWA Apprentice Programme Batch 3 is Coming Soon!
We're excited to share that the SWA Apprentice Programme's first and second batch were successful in the Academic Year 2022/2023. Now, we're thrilled to announce the beginning of the third batch. This upcoming batch is scheduled during the school holiday from 18 December to 29 December 2023 and is open to SWA students in Grades 9 to 12.
The program is a fantastic opportunity for students to enhance their portfolios and gain hands-on experience in various fields. It's specifically designed to assist students in acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary not only for their portfolios but also for their future careers. The areas to be explored encompass IT, Finance, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Creative Design, Sustainability, and the Library located at SWA and APP.

SWA Literacy Programme
Your partner in building a strong foundation in English literacy skills is here. Join the SWA Literacy Programme! The SWA Literacy Programme features JOLLY PHONICS for ages 3-6. It is a comprehensive programme that employs a child-centred and multisensory approach to teaching the 42 sounds of the alphabet, which motivates children to build words as early as possible.
The programme is also offered to Elementary School students aged 7-11 years old. In this programme, literacy skills, (listening, speaking, reading, and writing), are further developed through exposure to stories of various genres. The language exercises are combined with activities that focus on comprehension skills (eg. summarising, inferencing, comparing and contrasting) that they can apply to all reading situations.
