HALLOWEEN
Written by Ms. Ann
The Early Years students had a wonderful time celebrating Halloween with a day full of fun and spooky activities! Dressed in imaginative costumes, from friendly witches and superheroes to adorable pumpkins and ghosts, the children were bursting with excitement as they joined the Trick or Treat walk around the school.
With bright smiles and baskets in hand, they cheerfully greeted teachers and staff with a joyful “Trick or Treat!” and were thrilled to receive sweets and little surprises, a lovely way to learn about sharing and gratitude.
The Haunted Room brought even more excitement! With dim lights, gentle spooky music, and friendly ghosts and pumpkins, the children explored the “not-so-scary” setup with curiosity and laughter, showing courage and teamwork along the way.
TODDLER - Literacy
Written by Ms. Jill
The Toddler class had an exciting week learning about the letter H! The children met Ms. Hen, who needed their help finding her lost feathers. With teamwork, they picked up and “stuck” the feathers back on Ms. Hen. As a special reward for their effort, the toddlers got to taste some sweet honey, exploring a new flavor with smiles on their faces.
To make learning even more fun, the class also celebrated Crazy Hair Day! The children came to school with wonderfully creative hairstyles — some spiky, some colourful, and some just delightfully wild! They also made an adorable Crazy Hair artwork, pasting their own pictures and decorating with fuzzy wires, paper strips, and other materials to create funny and unique hairstyles.
It was a joyful week filled with hands-on learning, creativity, and laughter — truly a “Happy H” experience!
NURSERY - PE
Written by Mr. Victor
In Nursery PE, it was awesome to see how each student reacted to the “go” signal with great focus. More importantly, the students patiently waited for the signal, which is a sign of the listening skills taught by the teachers day in and day out. I’m excited to see them on Sports Day, where they can showcase their skills and of course, enjoy a full day of fun and games.
PRE-KINDERGARTEN - Music
Written by Ms. Melissa
In Pre-K music class, students are exploring the joy of music through singing, movement, and play. They are learning to respond to the beat and rhythm of songs using creative body movements and simple dance steps. The children also practice playing basic rhythmic patterns using percussion instruments such as tambourines, maracas, and rhythm sticks. These activities help them develop listening skills, coordination, and a sense of timing. Through fun games and songs, the students are beginning to understand musical concepts like fast and slow, loud and soft, and steady beat — all while building confidence and enjoying the experience of making music together.
K1 - Mathematics

Exploring the Wonderful World of Shapes
Our Kindergarten 1 students had an exciting and creative week exploring 2D and 3D shapes in Maths! Using wooden blocks, colourful clay, sticks, and paper, the children built and identified shapes such as cubes, cones, pyramids, and rectangular and triangular prisms.
They sorted shapes by their features, compared 3D models with 2D drawings, and matched everyday objects to their correct shapes. One of the highlights was when the students used sticks and clay to make a triangular prism and even built imaginative castles using different 3D shapes. These activities helped them apply their learning in meaningful and hands-on ways.
Through these playful experiences, the young learners developed spatial awareness, fine-motor coordination, and mathematical vocabulary while discovering that shapes are everywhere, from toys to buildings. The classroom buzzed with excitement as they proudly presented their clay shapes, castle creations, and stick-and-clay prisms. It was truly a joyful learning journey where Maths came alive through creativity and exploration!

Exploring the Animals in the water
Our Kindergarten 2 students had a wonderful and exciting week. This week, they learned about "Animals in the water" and explored the mysterious sea world. The children mastered Chinese vocabulary such as fish, shark, dolphin and starfish, as well as sentences like "the little fish are swimming around in the water." They also made "Cup Fish," which not only expanded their Chinese vocabulary but also helped them improve their abilities of expression and creativity.
This week, K2 students also learned simple radicals and related commonly used Chinese characters. They carefully practised writing Chinese characters according to the order of strokes. This strengthened the language foundation for their continued Chinese learning.
Through fun and engaging classroom activities and experiences, the children happily experienced the joy and challenge of learning Chinese. We look forward to the children continuing to experience the charm of the Chinese language in their future learning journey.

GRADE 1 - PE
Written by Mr. Victor
In G1 Swimming PE, we’ve been practicing well for the chance to showcase our skills soon! Some of us have gained the confidence to swim unassisted and visited the big pool! While half of the class continued to work on our strength and skills to kick, paddle and glide we know we can do it with consistent practice and persistence!
GRADE 2 - Music
Written by Ms. Melissa
In Grade 2 music lessons, students are preparing for their upcoming holiday concert performance. This year, they will be showcasing their skills by playing the pianica. To get ready for the event, students are currently learning how to play the instrument with correct posture, breathing technique, and finger placement. They are practising simple melodies and familiar songs, focusing on coordination between blowing and pressing the keys to produce a clear and steady sound. Through these lessons, students are developing their musical understanding, rhythm, and teamwork as they rehearse together in an ensemble. The class has shown wonderful enthusiasm and effort in every session.
✨ Stay tuned for their performance!
GRADE 3 - English
Written by Mr. Marc
In Grade 3 English Language, students have been working hard to strengthen their spelling, grammar, and vocabulary through a range of engaging lessons and activities. Our reading comprehension programme encourages children to think deeply about stories and characters, while writing lessons focus on creating imaginative fiction and thoughtful personal recounts.
Learning happens in many ways: through whole-class instruction, small group activities, and lively discussions. Students are also enjoying book clubs, where they are currently reading Fantastic Mr. Fox by Roald Dahl, interacting about the plot, reading aloud to each other and using the text to practice grammar identification.
Oral English remains an important focus, with students gaining confidence speaking in front of the class and sharing their ideas clearly.
As exam season approaches, we are guiding proper time management, practising review strategies and encouraging students to take pride in their progress. It’s wonderful to see their growing enthusiasm and communication skills!
GRADE 4 - Science
Written by Ms. Shirley
Investigating Solubility and Dissolving Rates
Our Grade 4 scientists explored an exciting investigation to find out how much salt can dissolve in 100 mL of water. Through hands-on experiments, the students learned which solids are soluble and insoluble in water and oil. They tested different materials, observed what happened, and recorded their results like real scientists!
In another experiment, the students explored what makes some solids dissolve faster than others. They tested how temperature, stirring, and particle size can change the speed of dissolving. Through careful observation, they discovered that warm water, stirring faster, and smaller particles help solids dissolve more quickly.
These activities helped students develop their observation and inquiry skills while deepening their understanding of everyday science concepts.
GRADE 5 - Indonesian Language
Written by Ms. Farah and Ms. Ayu
🍽️Indonesian Traditional Food - ILL
During the Indonesian Language and Literature lesson, students learnt about makanan khas Indonesia, or Indonesian traditional food. This activity aimed not only to develop students’ skills in writing procedure texts in the form of recipes, but also to deepen their understanding and appreciation of Indonesia’s diverse cultural heritage.
Students composed simple recipe texts featuring well-known dishes such as ayam pop, gudeg, sate, pempek, and kue cubit. Through this writing activity, they learnt how to describe ingredients and cooking steps accurately and clearly in Indonesian.
Natural Disaster Preparedness Project 🌋🌊 - ILA
Grade 5 ILA students took part in an engaging project by creating digital posters about natural disaster preparedness. Using various online design tools, they crafted informative posters in Bahasa Indonesia, explaining what to do before, during, and after disasters such as earthquakes, floods, and tsunamis.
Through this project, students learned not only important safety procedures, like staying calm, finding safe shelter, and helping others, but also the value of being prepared and responsible members of their community. The activity allowed them to practise their Indonesian writing skills, expand vocabulary, and communicate safety messages clearly and creatively.
Working both individually and in groups, students demonstrated teamwork, creativity, and digital literacy. Their colourful and well-organised posters reflected great effort and understanding. It was inspiring to see their confidence as they presented their final work. This meaningful activity strengthened both their language and life skills, reminding everyone that preparedness saves lives.
