IB Evaluation Visit

Celebrating Our IB Journey: Excellence, Growth and Community
Dear SWA Parents, Guardians, Teachers and Staff,
From 14 to 16 September 2026, SWA welcomed the IB Evaluation Team for the evaluation of our MYP and DP programmes. The visit provided an important opportunity to reflect on how our programmes had been implemented and developed and how effectively our school community had brought the IB philosophy to life. The evaluation team explored our leadership, curriculum, teaching and learning, assessment, student support, school culture and learning environment.
We were proud to showcase the excellent work taking place across SWA. The visit highlighted the dedication of our teachers, the strength of our programmes, our commitment to student well-being, our focus on inquiry and reflection, and the many ways in which we developed confident, principled and internationally minded young people. Our thanks went to all the parents who gave their time, shared their experiences and represented SWA with warmth and pride. Your partnership helped the evaluation team understand the impact of our IB programmes beyond the classroom.
We also expressed our appreciation to every teacher and staff member who contributed to the success of the visit. Your professionalism, flexibility and teamwork were truly remarkable. From classroom observations and meetings to student support, evidence preparation and practical arrangements, your collective efforts demonstrated the care and commitment that made SWA a strong and vibrant IB World School.
Most importantly, our students demonstrated curiosity, confidence, maturity and pride in their learning. They reminded us that the heart of every IB programme was the student experience.
The evaluation visit celebrated not only what SWA had achieved but also our shared commitment to continued growth and excellence. We were grateful to everyone who made these three days meaningful and successful.

PICF brought together 152 choirs from 17 provinces of Indonesia and choirs from Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines. Months of rehearsals and clinics strengthened students’ commitment and discipline. They learned that in choir, the body is the musical instrument, requiring physical and mental preparation for accurate and consistent sound. They also discovered how individual attitudes and contributions affect the whole ensemble, strengthening self-management, empathy, and ownership. We are proud of this achievement while recognising continued areas for growth.
