Toddler Mathematics
Written by Ms. Ann
This term, our toddler students embarked on an exciting journey to learn about shapes through various engaging activities in the classroom. The children expressed their creativity by crafting unique projects, such as rectangle snails and diamond monsters. Their exploration extended to sensory play, where they drew ovals in a large basin filled with oatmeal and proudly selected oval eggs to show their nannies and mums, who waited just outside the classroom.
The learning didn't stop indoors. The class ventured outdoors to find star shapes in the playground, blending physical activity with geometric discovery. Back in the classroom, the children stamped heart shapes using recycled tissue rolls and used markers to form rectangle shapes on one side of a box, reinforcing their understanding of shapes through hands-on play.
During revision time, the students used stamps to leave shape marks on paper, reviewing both shapes and colours simultaneously. They also played a "hit the target" shape game to strengthen their mastery of the shapes. This multifaceted approach ensured a comprehensive and enjoyable learning experience for our young learners.
Nursery Understanding the World
Written by Ms. Ruby and Ms. Eliza
This term we had a blast learning about bicycles! We got to clean our own bikes with bubbles and water. There was splashing everywhere, and we laughed a lot. It was wonderful to work together and see our bikes get all shiny and clean. We loved spending time with my friends, and we discovered how important it is to take care of our bicycles. It was the best day ever!
While we were cleaning, we also learned about teamwork. We helped each other reach tricky spots on our bikes and shared the soap and water. It felt amazing to work as a team and see how much faster and better we could clean when we cooperated. Our teachers explained that keeping our things clean helps them last longer and work better, which is something we can use at home, too. Now we know that taking care of our stuff and working together makes everything more fun and rewarding!

PreK Music
Written by Ms. Melissa
Over the past few weeks in our music class, our Pre-K students have been exploring the concept of "keeping in time" using various parts of their bodies and percussion instruments. One of the engaging activities we introduced involved using pictures to guide them as they pointed in time to the heart picture while singing "Love Somebody”. This exercise helped them develop coordination between their eyes, singing, and maintaining a steady beat.
In addition to this, the students participated in a fun and interactive part-work activity with their friends, which involved clapping in time to a song. They listened attentively to the music and clapped in different patterns, creating form A and B sections. This not only helped them understand musical structure but also allowed them to practise listening skills and rhythmic accuracy. These activities were not only enjoyable for the children but also instrumental in enhancing their social skills. By finding their own partners for the clapping activity, they learned to work collaboratively and build connections with their classmates.
Overall, these musical exercises have significantly contributed to the children's development in terms of coordination, timing, and social interaction. Great job, kids! Keep up the fantastic work!

K2 Bahasa Indonesia
Written by Ms. Yuyun
The K2 children embarked on an exciting journey to explore the universe. They didn't just learn the names and number of planets but also discovered the unique characteristics of each one.
Their adventure began with watching a captivating short video about the solar system. Afterward, they formed small groups to share ideas and listen to each other's thoughts. This showcased their impressive critical thinking skills and mature communication abilities.
Next, they brought the solar system to life by creating 3D models. Using recycled cardboard, paint, scissors, and glue, they crafted detailed replicas of the planets and their orbits.
The highlight of the project was the class presentation. With confidence, the children displayed their 3D creations and explained the planets they had made. This experience helped them practise public speaking and appreciate their hard work.
This project not only expanded K2’s kid knowledge about the solar system but also developed essential skills like teamwork, communication, and creativity. Let's continue exploring K2!

Grade 2 PSD
Written by Ms. Lecya
As the holiday comes closer students will have a break from the routine of school and homework, presenting them with an abundance of free time. While many students may naturally gravitate towards their gadgets for entertainment, it's crucial to find a balance between on-screen and off-screen activities.
During the PSD session, we discussed the importance of having balance on and off-screen time. Many students are aware that having too much screen time will affect their health. Therefore, students are encouraged to limit their on-screen time by 2 hours per day. After further brainstorming, using a timer or asking an adult to remind the time are the go-to ways. While off-screen, students are encouraged to spend time with family, read a book, play with hands-on toys, and explore their hobbies.
Grade 3 Maths
Written by Ms. Cherry
In the last few weeks of Maths lessons, Grade 3 students immersed themselves in the fascinating world of geometry, discovering its practical relevance through exploring properties and spatial relationships. They learned to identify and understand parallel and perpendicular lines, which were crucial for reading maps. Maps often utilised these lines to indicate streets and pathways, helping students appreciate the role of geometric concepts in navigation and urban planning. Below are some of their creative outputs!
Angles, another essential aspect of geometry, were found everywhere—from the corners of their classroom to the design of playgrounds. By recognizing and measuring angles, students saw the geometric principles that shaped their everyday surroundings.
To reinforce their understanding, students participated in a Relay Quiz, a lively activity that showcased their mastery of geometric concepts. This collaborative exercise makes learning enjoyable while promoting teamwork and communication. Together, students solved problems, shared insights, and challenged each other's reasoning, leading to a deeper comprehension of the material.
What was truly remarkable was watching their reasoning skills and the quality of their questions grow over time. As they delved deeper into geometry, students became more skilled at critical thinking and problem-solving, building a strong foundation for future mathematical learning and real-world application.
