Frequently Asked Questions by  Parents

When do I need to drop off and pick up my student? 

Drop off your student between 7:25 and 7:45 at Silver Creek High School. Staff will be on site at that time to help students find their way to the auditorium. There will be approximately 400 students arriving within that window so please be patient and punctual.  

The final bell will ring at 2:41 (this is a few minutes earlier than the normal school day). If your student does not have sports or band practice after school, please pick them up between 2:41 and 3:00 pm 

What do I need to send with my student? 

Students should come with a water bottle, their charged iPad (if they are a new student and do not have an iPad yet, that's O.K.), and knowledge of their schedule.  Comfortable clothes and sunscreen are encouraged! Please do not send your students with heavy backpacks since will be moving around a lot during the day. Lunch will be provided to all students at no charge, but students can bring their own lunch if they wish. 

Who is my student's counselor? 

Use the SCHS Counseling Team link to connect with the correct counselor. Next to their picture, there will be a portion of the alphabet listed. Counselors are assigned to students with last names that correspond with their section of the alphabet. 

Where can I find my student's schedule? 

Their schedule is posted in Infinite Campus. Students will need to know the name of their advisory teacher and have access to their class schedule. 

Should I come with my student to orientation day? 

Nope : ) This is one of those things they will be doing on their own. If your student has special accommodations that should be considered, please reach out to their case manager prior to Orientation Day. 

I need to drop off medication to the health office for my student. When can I do this? Where do I go? 

Only parents with the proper paper work may deliver medications (in their original packaging) to the school office. Most paperwork can be printed from this link, but additional information may have been sent to your email.  Medications may be dropped off at SCHS prior to the beginning of the school year, starting on Monday August, 7th.
