Restorative circles are structured, consistent, opportunities for students to share their perspectives and experiences in a focussed way, with the purpose of building trust, understanding and empathy within a group. Circles create equality and send the message that our thoughts, opinions and ideas are important and each participant is valued. The use of a "talking object" is encouraged. Each participant should be encouraged to share.
