The current problem is that people are cutting down trees to build infrastructure, mines ,farms, etc. by people doing this desertification becomes even more common. Ecosystems are being destroyed and species are going extinct. People are starting fires to make more space for their profits and trees can’t recover. Climate change is intensifying due to this problem. Trees also let out carbon dioxide and store in oxygen, they are essential for humans.
Right now the Amazon rainforest is in a crisis. People are ignoring laws and are still cutting down trees. The Amazon rainforest is the biggest rainforest in the world and it is being lodged by people. It is the heart of our Earth, in that rainforest lies our medicine that has cured millions of people, it is also the food we eat, the water we drink, and the air we breathe.
According to Brazil’s National Institute for Space Research (INPE) records, over 197,286 fires have happened in South America and half of these were in the Amazon rainforest. Most of these happen to make space for infracture, mines, farms, etc. these trees let out oxygen but most importantly store in carbon dioxide. It’s concerning since all trees store carbon dioxide.World wide fund states that “Forest loss and damage is the cause of around 10% of global warming”https://www.wwf.org.uk/learn/effects-of/deforestation. It will still affect the whole human race, if we don't stop deforestation climate change will intensify, even the 1st world countries will be affected. If these human activities aren’t stopped billions of people will be affected. These tropical rainforests are essential for the people who live there. Bad company’s go there and steal resources that the people need to cultivate the food that they need to survive. Without the resources they need, they go into food insecurity.
