In ELA, students will work on the following areas using various resources (novel study, grammar, spelling)in the classroom:

• Comprehension- ( Nelson Literacy, Novel study, independent book reports)

• Communication - (various story writing, vocabulary, journal writing, grammar, editing skills)

Speaking & Visual Representation 20%

• Critical thinking - 10% (interpreting , giving their opinion on a topic and backing it up with good examples for their reasoning)
