Classroom rules/Expectations:
The students will place their electronic devices in their backpack or the provided wooden organizer (cannot be removed until the bell rings) located on the teacher’s desk. If a student chooses to keep their device in their backpack and the device is removed from the student’s backpack, the following procedures will be followed: 1st offense - The student will receive a warning and be told to put the device away; 2nd offense - The phone will be taken and the student will receive the device at the end of the period with a write up explaining it was returned and the teacher will call home. 3rd offense - The device will be taken and the student will pick it up at the end of the day (again with write up, call home, and additional consequences at the discretion of administration). In the event the student brings the device to class again, it will be mandatory that it is placed in the provided wooden organizer.
*Chromebooks are an integral part of our learning experience. Students must bring their computers to school and to class in order to be successful. In addition, the computers must be charged. If there is an issue with your computer, please inform the teacher so a tech request can be submitted.
*Students must come to class ready and prepared for the lesson each day. Being prepared for class includes, but is not limited to, having the school issued Chromebook computer in class, having homework completed and present, having a writing instrument, and having necessary class materials/resources.
*Excessive side conversations not pertaining to instructional material will not be tolerated- this type of conversation includes, but is not limited to; during classroom instruction, assessments, presentations by peers.
*Inappropriate use of classroom materials will not be tolerated-this includes, but is not limited to; breaking materials, writing on desks, drawing on self with markers/pens, the use of a paperclip or pushpin or any other item for anything other than its intended purpose.
