Khan Academy This is something extra. I will be honest, I have never used Khan Academy for Reading but I have used it for Math before and liked it. If you choose to use this, please let me know your thoughts! When you click on Khan Academy, it will take you to its website where you will need to sign up. The students are welcome to use their school email and my code is: XPRJDN4M . For their username, please make it so that I know which student it is. For example, my name is Marie Marcoaldi so I could use mmarcoaldi. Or, they can use the beginning of their school email: sv_mariemar30. Thank you!

Flipgrid Practice using flipgrid and respond to my two questions! You have to watch my video to know my two questions :) When you click on the link, it will ask you to login using google or microsoft. Please have your child login using google with the student's school email and password. It should work. When you go to my home page, look for the blue arrow that says 2 topics and click on that, scroll down to the say hello on flipgrid and click on it. You can watch my video first and then you will record your own. It will tell you to click the green button with a plus sign. You then click record. When you are done recording, click on the next button and your video should be uploaded. You will not be able to see your video until I okay it. If this does not work, please let me know.
Blizzard of the Blue Moon-Chapter 6 If you click on this link, it will take you to my flipgrid homepage. Click on my video and listen to Chapter 6. When you are done listening, prepare your answers to three of the questions listed. EVERYONE has to answer the prediction question. When you are ready, click on the green circle with the plus sign and record your questions and answers.

Chapter 7-Blizzard of the Blue Moon: Click on the link. Listen to the chapter 7. Answer 3 of the 6 questions. You can roll a die or put numbers 1-6 in a hat and pull three out. EVERYONE has to answer the text-to-self question. You can answer the questions creating your own video or typing up the questions and emailing them to me (m.marcoaldi@svlocal.org). I would encourage the student to type their answers as much as possible, it allows them to practice their typing skills. Also, everyone should practice using complete sentences. If you are typing your answers remember to use capital letters and punctuation!

Chapter 9 Part 1-Blizzard of the Blue Moon: Unfortunately, I was having difficulty with Flipgrid and had to record this chapter into two parts. It is a longer chapter and that is why I am only doing one chapter this week. Please click on the link to listen to the first part of the chapter.
Chapter 9 Part 2-Blizzard of the Blue Moon: You should be able to get to this once you are in Flipgrid, but just in case you can not, I have provided the link. After listening to both parts, please answer 3 of the 6 questions. EVERYONE will have to answer the Science Extension question! Enjoy the chapter!
