Grading Policy

Grading Guidelines 

Student averages will be calculated using the total amount of points earned/total amount of points possible. 

Assignment type and points will vary:

• In-Class Assignments/Homework = 2+ points

• Lab Activities = 8+ points

• Quizzes = 10+ points

• Tests and Projects = 20+ points 

• State labs = 40+ points

HOMEWORK GRADING POLICY

The way that homework gets "graded" will vary based on the assignment. Sometimes, students will earn a grade based on completion (done versus not done). Other times, I will collect student work and grade based on correctness.

* Students will have the opportunity to correct assignments that we have NOT gone over together as a class. *

Late and Make-Up Work 

Make-Up Work (absence, music lesson, dr’s appt, etc): 

It is the students responsibility to check the absent bin and talk to Ms. Szatko ASAP (as soon as possible) about what was missed. 

Late Work: 

Depending on the assignment, late work may be accepted until the end of the marking period.
