Students often receive a 4pt grade for completion of the day's activity in class, following the below grading scale:
4- Excellent / 3- Satisfactory / 2- Needs Improvement / 1-Poor
0- Absent (Rubric available HERE & in Google Classroom)
*Your Final Grade for Course = 4 Quarters (each 25%)
English 9 Honors Grading Policy:
As a selective Honors class, this course requires a higher level of self-management for 9th grade .
-Writing is evaluated as a process, including planning, drafting, & revising before a final grade is determined
-Any HW is graded on effort/completion, not accuracy
Late Work Policy:
-All assignments will be clearly communicated, with long-ranging due dates (typically a week or more)
-Late assignments will be accepted at 50% credit (with rare, legitimate exceptions).
*Final Grade for Course = 4 Qtrs. (20% each) + Midterm Exam (10%) + Final Exam (10%)
Senior Seminar is a half-credit elective course, graded on a Pass/Fail basis.
Students "pass" by being present and actively participating in all class activities.
