Hello everyone! I'm Claire Haile and I'm thrilled to be teaching Music at Sauquoit! This is my 9th year teaching music and my 3rd year here at SV. Here's little bit about me:

- I grew up in Boonville NY, about an hour north of Sauquoit, and taught Elementary Music and Choir at Adirondack Central for 6 years 

- I have a Bachelors in Music Education from The College of Saint Rose (2016) and a Masters in Choral Conducting from Messiah University (2020) 

- Outside of school I love to hike, cook, read, and sing in local choirs 

- Musicals are a major part of my life and I love being part of community productions! Most recently I played Bea in "Something Rotten" at Rome Capitol Theatre. I've also been the assistant director for SVCSD Drama Club productions, including "Mamma Mia!", "The Wizard of Oz," and "The Addams Family." 

- I LOVE using instruments during class! Anytime we can fit a play-along into our lesson, I'll make it happen. My favorite classroom instrument? Definitely Boomwhackers :)
