Grading Policy

Homework (30%)

• Homework will be given out most nights. 

• Homework will be either graded on completeness or accuracy. When graded on completeness, it will be a scale of 0 to 4 based on the following:

  • 4: Complete work is shown and all questions answered

  • 3: Most of the questions are answered with work shown

  • 2: Some questions answered, some work shown

  • 1: Minimal questions answered with work shown

  • 0: Little to no work shown, majority of questions not answered

• If students do not do their homework, they may submit it at a later time for half credit. 

Quizzes (30%)

• Quizzes will occur about halfway through a unit.

• Quiz corrections will be allowed, but complete work must be shown on a separate sheet of paper to receive half credit back. Quiz corrections will be due a week from the quizzes being returned to students. 

Tests (40%)

• Tests will occur at the end of a unit. 

• Test corrections will be allowed, but complete work must be shown on a separate sheet of paper to receive half credit back. Test corrections will be due a week from the tests being returned to the students.
