As I finished my time as House Manager I think upon what I learned. The biggest lesson I feel that I learned was the process of the new house bylaws. Upon making the new bylaws I had to do research to see what would comply with what the chapter here at SUU wanted, as well as what the international bylaws were. Then to get them approved I had to present them in front of the whole chapter (roughly 45 people) and have them vote on if they wanted to approve them or not. When the time came for this I managed to get all of the bylaws approved unanimously. This allowed me to be open to whatever criticism there may have been as well as improving my public speaking skills. These skills I feel will be very useful for me no matter the situation I find myself in. I started with a position that was taken for granted. I feel that when I was finished I turned that around to the point that I had my successor come and talk to me personally about what to do should he be the one to take up the position after me.
