3.1 faire (to make, to do)

The verb faire is irregular in the present tense.

Note what is familiar, even with the forms of this irregular verb: the -ons ending for the nous form, for example, and the fact that the je, tu and il/elle/on forms end in -s, -s and -t respectively. Also, note what is different. The vous form of faire is completely unique. Memorizing verb forms by noting patterns and where patterns do not apply is a good study tool.
