Here is a chart that summarizes the scores by grade level. You read the chart by looking at the Spring Column, and finding the score. Then use the SD, which means Standard Deviation, to determine the range of scores. So....the score for a 12th grader in reading is 223.80. To find the range, you add and subtract the SD given. Giving a student in 12th grade normal range for in Reading is:
223.80-19.32 = 204.48
223.80+19.32 = 243.12
Grade 12 National Reading Average score range: 204.48 - 243.12
