Effective multi-agency working in all six cases;
Effective information sharing and communication between agencies;
Risks were identified and assessed in a timely manner;
Trusted relationships between identified professionals and the young people were noted. In one case, Jigsaw4u had supported the young person through many placement moves with a consistent worker who acted as an advocate for the young person;
Plans in place were robust.
The areas of improvement identified were mostly case specific, a few recurring points were made:
Earlier intervention to be put in place for young people suspected to be at risk of exploitation, in order that plans are more proactive and preventative;
Detailed chronologies to be kept on file;
Strategy meetings to be used more to review safety plans.
