Welcome to Sutton Local Safeguarding Children Partnership's Child Sexual Abuse Toolkit.
This toolkit contains guidance, resources and support for practitioners working with families where there is a suspicion, or presence of child sexual abuse. Explore this site using the links below, or by using the menu on the top left of the page.
In 2025, Sutton decided to embed the Centre of Expertise of Child Sexual Abuse's response pathway across the Partnership. This pathway, already embedded as guidance in the London Safeguarding Procedures since 2023, is considered best practice for responding to CSA.
We are implementing the Centre of Expertise's response pathway through our Child Sexual Abuse Strategy 2026-29. We are currently in Year 1 of the Strategy, with substantial progress already made against our action plan. Quarterly task and finish groups are held to monitor progress, which report to the LSCP Quality Assurance and Improvement Subgroup, and the LSCP Board.
In September 2024, Sutton LSCP published its second Multi-Agency Protocol for Child Sexual Abuse which supports professionals and volunteers across agencies in Sutton. The protocol is currently being revised to align with the Centre of Expertise's response pathway.
