Rev. Dr. Gary Weaver 

Gary has been serving in the Susquehanna Conference and the Central PA Conference since 1995. Recommended by Pine Street United Methodist Church (Williamsport), he has served churches in in the Harrisburg, York, Williamsport, Lewisburg Districts as well as the former Wellsboro District.  Bishop Jeremiah Park appointed him Conference Superintendent for the Lewisburg District in 2020. Gary has also served on several committees within the Susquehanna Conference. Prior to his appointment as Conference Superintendent, he served as Chair of the Annual Conference Sessions Committee. Under his leadership the yearly gathering moved from Messiah College to Hershey Lodge. In 2020, Gary was also elected as a delegate to the Jurisdictional Conference, held in November 2022.

Dr. Weaver graduated from Lycoming College with a BA. He earned his Master of Divinity from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Wesley Theological School.

In Gary’s spare time, he serves as a PIAA swimming official and is an active “Uncle” for Little League International. During the Little League World Series in South Williamsport, Gary’s role is to be the liaison with a visiting Little League team. Most often the team he works with is from outside the United States.

He is married to Cindy Weaver. They have two grown sons and ­three grandchildren.
