Leadership

Leadership – All students seeking admission to the Chaparral High School NHS must be able to demonstrate they are leaders in the school and/or community. Students must demonstrate their leadership by listing two or more verifiable roles or positions where they were either elected or appointed. These positions or roles may be held in the school, community, and/or workplace since starting high school.  Members are encouraged to maintain leadership positions.

Some examples of leadership positions that NHS members have held are:

1. An officer in a club on campus

2. An officer in National Charity League

3. Section Leader in Band

4. An officer in Boys Team Charity

5. Leadership of an event in Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts

6. Student Government Officer

7. Captain of a sports team

8. Shift Manager at work

9. Youth Group Leader

10.  An event leader (which would include organizing aspects of an event, planning the event, delegating responsibility to other workers involved, managing or supervising others) 

There are more positions of leadership, but these are just listed to provide some examples.
