Welcome to all incoming Suncoast students! We are so excited you are considering Suncoast for your homeschool journey!
We work in partnership with a family and their student's Education Specialist (ES) to help create a student's Independent Study Agreement (ISA) based on their graduation path and course preferences.
The steps for this process are listed in the Table of Contents, below. We encourage you to read through these steps before reaching out to your Education Specialist (ES).
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us: highschool@suncoastprep.org
Actions completed by high school parents/guardians and students working together:
Review high school planning emails sent from the high school team which will have information about Suncoast graduation paths and access to our course catalog.
Reply to all emails to confirm students' chosen graduation path. Include any specific course requests.
Actions completed by the Suncoast High School Team:
Review and reply to all email correspondence with new high school families.
Creation of the list of courses that will go on students' Independent Study Agreements (ISAs).
Communication with students' Education Specialists (ES) to them know when student Independent Study Agreements (ISAs) are ready to be generated.
Action completed by the Suncoast Education Specialist (ES):
The ES will generate the Independent Study Agreement (ISA) for the parents/guardians, students, and the ESes to sign; finalizing each student's enrollment.
Determining a student's graduation path is an essential component to helping determine their high school goals, along with their courses.
The High School Team will initiate an email to the family of a new high school student with information about our graduation paths:
Visit our Graduation Guide page to explore Grad Path options in depth.
Reply to the High School Team with your student's preferred graduation path.
We recommend the A-G/College Prep graduation path for all incoming 9th grade students.

Once a student's graduation path and course selections have been reviewed and confirmed for approval by the High School Team, their enrollment is ready to be finalized with the creation of an Independent Study Agreement (ISA) by the student's Education Specialist (ES). The parent/guardian, the student, and the ES will all need to sign the ISA to finalize the student's enrollment with the school.
