All students kindergarten through 8th grade take the MAP (Measure of Academic Progress) assessment three times a year. The MAP test is a measure of what students currently know in Reading and Math. This allows teachers to identify areas of strengths and weaknesses for individual students and classes. Teachers can then modifiy instruction to meet the needs of students to ensure that all students are growing.
When students are taking MAP virtually students need to:
Login to their Chromebook and open their internet browser
Grades 2-8: Wait for the teacher to automatically direct them to the testing website and give them their login information. They do not need to be in a Google Classroom or have a specific link.
Grades K-1: Scroll down in Clever to the NWEA Icon and it will take them to their Reading Fluency Assessment. Headphones may be used.
If there are any issues they can use the "chat" feature to send a message to their teacher or email them directly. Teachers will be able to see their screens and assist them.
Once testing student should take their time and do their best without assistance.
