In the Life Lab, we use science, social studies, art, exploration, and more to develop a sense of place and stewardship in our Lakers. As long as we are in a Distance Learning model, students in grades K-4 will participate in Life Lab Zoom meetings and weekly activities. Most of our work and communication will take place in your child's Life Lab Google Classroom, and I will use this website for additional resources and activities as our year progresses.
Students will have one 30-minute Zoom meeting with me each week, and I will provide an activity page for them to use during their 'independent work' time. Completed activities can be submitted in their Life Lab Classroom "Classwork" tab.

Remember...
Nature study is ALL about community! We'd love to have some extra hands as we explore. Fill out the form below to add your name to our list of volunteers!
Also, be sure to complete the SBLSD Volunteer Application here.
We have a very small operating budget and very big dreams! We would love to rehome old gardening supplies, household items, and outdoor equipment. Some items can be donated used, while others may need to be new. Contact Mrs. Young for a list of needs if you are interested in giving something to our program!
If topics like environmental stewardship, agriculture and permaculture, environmental science, and good citizenship are important to your family, make sure that you let the community know about the work we are doing in the Life Lab! Knowledge is power, and these kids will save the world!
