Embodying Summit’s Core Values:

She is compassionate almost to a fault, always worrying about others, making them feel heard, and often putting their needs before her own. Tiffany embodies integrity when it comes to her dedication to social justice and making the world a better place. While many students pay lip service to these causes, Tiffany is always willing to do the work necessary to be the change she wants to see in the world, which often translates to her taking time to educate a peer who has just said something problematic, even when the student is reluctant to listen. Tiffany does an incredible job of balancing respect for peers and adults with the importance of advocating for herself when she deserves better than what she is given.

Oster Scholars’ Concrete Next Step: 

Tiffany plans on attending San Francisco State University in order to pursue a bachelor's degree in cinema and ethnic studies. Ultimately, Tiffany hopes to become a film director and/ or producer. She wants to create stories in film that represent Chicanos in a positive light by creating new narratives and breaking stereotypes.
