Embodying Summit’s Core Values:

In 5th grade, I took the bus to attend school. As I stepped onto the bus, I was unaware of the strangers beside me. As I people-watch, I wonder about the lived experiences that shaped the person beside me. After taking Intro to Psychology at Summit, my curiosity persisted so I enrolled in dual enrollment courses to expose myself to my field of interest. I’ve taken General Psychology & Life-Span Development, and am currently taking Child Psychology to understand the labyrinth of the mind. 

Oster Scholars’ Concrete Next Step: 

Gael will be attending the University of California, Los Angeles. At college, he will be majoring in psychology and public health. Through undergrad, Gael will be working towards the pre-med track and eventually hopes to attend medical school in the purist to become a psychiatrist. As a psychiatrist, he hopes to give back to underserved communities like where he grew up and serve others.
