Our mission is to collectively prepare a diverse community of young people with the skills, knowledge, and habits to attain economic empowerment and success in a chosen concrete next step toward a fulfilled life.
Every young person, upon graduating, has an acceptance and enrollment in a best-fit next step that is directly connected to their purpose-driven life plan. To achieve this, every student must have:
At least two acceptances to a best-fit next step for after high school (at least one of those acceptances is to a good-fit or best-fit four-year college)
Why?
Research shows that having access to college is still the top opportunity for socioeconomic mobility in the United States for Black, Latino, and Indigenous students and students from low-income backgrounds. Therefore, CNS is structured to keep this door open for all students so they can make a fully informed choice upon graduation.
You will face many decisions on your CNS journey. Two-year or four-year? Traditional college or trade school? Public or private school? Local or far from home? Big city or small town? What majors are offered? What is campus life like? There are many different factors to consider in selecting your CNS, and these resources can help you start to search for your "best fit".
