Perform Care is a resource provided by New Jersey Children’s System of Care for children and families in need ages 3-21 who may be experiencing emotional or behavioral difficulties, developmental/intellectual disabilities, substance abuse, or trauma. Perform Care provides children and their families with counseling services, mobile response to stabilize crisis situations, behavioral supports, substance abuse treatment (up to age 18), respite care, family support, and care management for complex needs. They are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

is an international fellowship of men and women who have had a drinking problem. It is nonprofessional, self-supporting, multiracial, apolitical, and available almost everywhere. There are no age or education requirements. Membership is open to anyone who wants to do something about their drinking problem.


Al‑Anon is a mutual support program for people whose lives have been affected by someone else’s drinking. By sharing common experiences and applying the Al-Anon principles, families and friends of alcoholics can bring positive changes to their individual situations, whether or not the alcoholic admits the existence of a drinking problem or seeks help.

Alateen, a part of the Al-Anon Family Groups, is a fellowship of young people (mostly teenagers) whose lives have been affected by someone else’s drinking whether they are in your life drinking or not. By attending Alateen, teenagers meet other teenagers with similar situations. Alateen is not a religious program and there are no fees or dues to belong to it.

An Alternative High School established in collaboration with Union County Vocational-Technical School District (UCVTS) and Prevention Links. The school is specifically designed for high school aged students who have endured substance abuse related issues and are looking for a self-contained, public school, conducive to meeting the needs of their education and recovery. The school educates students in grades 9-12, accommodating varied levels of ability, learning styles, and credit status. Students who attend the ESH Recovery High School may complete their education there, ultimately receiving a High School diploma, conferred by their sending school district.
