Hi Second Grade Families!
I am so excited to be teaching Second Grade again this year. Thank you for entrusting me with your children everyday. It is truly a privilege to work in Summit Public Schools and teach your children. I look forward to working together, school and home, to ensure we are growing happy and accomplished students.

Our Daily Schedule:
*Please Note Wednesdays & Fridays are P.E. days so students should wear sneakers. Students should also practice the routine of returning their Library books on Thursdays so they are able to borrow new ones. Additionally, we will have snack in the classroom each morning. Please pack your child a small snack, a reusable water bottle, and note that we are an "allergy aware classroom" -- NO NUTS.

Student Expectations:
The students and I will create our class contract or promise in the beginning of the year. This will allow for a community building opportunity to decide what type of environment we want to learn in everyday. Students will be expected to always treat themselves, the school, and others with respect. This includes showing integrity, being prepared to learn each day, taking care of school supplies/property, as well as showing kindness to all.
Birthday Celebrations:
Each child will have the opportunity to celebrate their birthday with a guest reader from home if they would like. Kindly email me to setup a time as your child's birthday approaches. Please no food or other gifts when visiting the classroom.
Technology:
Your son/daughter should bring their Chromebook and charger to and from school each day. Please support them in getting in the habit of charging their Chromebook at home each night.
