Come to class with your Chromebook (charged!), something to write with, and the most current vocabulary list (which should be kept in a neatly organized binder section dedicated to Latin!).
When you enter the classroom, sit in your assigned seat, read the Weekly Agenda projected at the front of the room and discuss the Do Now with a neighbor.
Check with your classmates and check Google Classroom. All assignments and materials will be posted there. The Weekly Agenda slides will tell you what we did in class, and will also list any assignments that are due.
For each school day that you were absent, you get 1 school day to make up the assignments. If you think you need more than that, email me (rpomeroy@summit.k12.nj.us) or talk to me before or after class.
I offer no more than 5 points of extra credit per marking period. These are typically creative assignments that require you to use your Latin knowledge. If you have ideas for alternate extra credit opportunities, email me (rpomeroy@summit.k12.nj.us).

Like all classes at LCJSMS, grades are determined by total points. I aim to reach 250 points per quarter; however, it may be more or less than that, depending on the quarter (for example, the first quarter will likely have less total points, because of the number of assemblies, STOKES, and other interruptions).
Here's a rough breakdown with average point values. The amount in each category varies per quarter.
Homework - 3-5pts per assignment, approx. two to three per week
Classwork - 5-10pts per assignment, approx. one to two per week
Quizzes - 40-60pts per quiz, approx. one every other week
Projects - pts widely vary based on the size of the project, approx. one to two per marking period
