Inspired by the 90-second Newbery, we are inviting students to participate in the Franklin Film Festival by submitting short movies based on elementary-level books.
This activity is OPTIONAL.
Here are some submissions for inspiration.
Movies must:
- be based on a book that is relatable to elementary students
- be school-appropriate
- be no longer than three minutes
- have parent/guardian permission to be shown to the school-wide community, if featuring faces
- be shared with Mrs. Mills by April 30 in order to be included in the school Film Festival
Movies may:
- be in any style (stop-motion animation, live action, illustrated, musical)
- feature anyone with prior adult permission (older/younger family members, students outside of FES)
- offer a new interpretation of a familiar story
These movies will be shared ONLY with the Franklin School Community. To participate in the National 90-Second Newbery competition, please visit this website (which is legitimate despite it's poor graphics).
