Summer Performing Arts with Juilliard provides unforgettable experiences for students around the world. The immersive programs enable students to engage deeply in dance, drama, and music while making powerful connections with like-minded students from across the world.

Over these 2 weeks, you will join a global community of over 100 artists who are passionate about acting, dancing, and singing. This page will serve as your hub for important information. Be sure to review the details below and on your discipline page in the menu above.
The program takes place at Windermere Preparatory School in Orlando, Florida (USA).

Boarding students will participate in a supervised excursion to Universal Studios. Day students are not included in the excursion and are off on this day.
Saturday, July 26 - Final Day of Classes, Final Performances, & Departure
Families are welcome to attend! Families are welcome to attend! Students will be dismissed for departure at 4:00pm when all performances will end.

Summer Performing Arts with Juilliard is taught by Juilliard artist faculty. These unique educators are experts in their craft and are also highly qualified teachers. Many of them are on faculty and/or are alumni of The Juilliard School. You can read faculty bios on each discipline's page.
Juilliard artist faculty will supervise students from 9:00am-5:00pm on all teaching days. Outside of these times, the Windermere Preparatory School Boarding Staff will be with boarding students from 5:00pm through 9:00am the following morning Mondays through Saturdays, all day Sunday, and on all excursions. Boarding Staff are visible and present supervising children from 5:00pm through 10:00pm (lights-out time) and available overnight for any student needs.
All parents should have received the Enrollment Form and Boarding Letter with the email that was sent with this website. The form and letter include detailed information from the Boarding Staff. Please pay attention to this communication for information on drop off, pick-up, etc.

What to Pack (General List)
Comfortable, school-appropriate clothing that you are able to move in. Every major will have some type of physical warm-up so students should be able to move freely. This could include:
Leggings, sweatpants, jazz pants, bike shorts, athletic shorts
Tank tops, t-shirts, exercise tops (must cover your full torso)
Light layers for indoor spaces that have strong air conditioning
Socks and sneakers
Swimsuit & Sandals (there is a pool at the dorms; open at certain times only)
Tennis shoes/sneakers
A journal or notebook
Music assignments (as applicable)
Bedding if you plan to use your own (sheets, blanket and pillow are provided)
Towel if you prefer to use your own
Snacks (there will be optional trips to Target, on your own expense)
Medications (prescriptions must be in marked prescription bottles, in English)
Toiletries
Sunblock
Umbrella/Raincoat (lots of afternoon rain in Florida)
Outfit needed for final performance (see your discipline's instructions)
Pocket money (for optional purchases on excursions)
Chargers for any technology
Day students will participate in the Program Orientation, all Juilliard-led classes from Mondays through Saturdays, 9:00am-5:00pm, and occasional Juilliard-led evening activities. They will not participate in evening or the day-off excursions run by the boarding staff.
All medication will be administered by a supervising adult - either a member of the Boarding Staff or the School Nurse. Parents will receive Boarding information closer to the start of the program with medical information.
Yes, they can. If parents want the phone held by staff members at all, they can contact the Boarding Staff closer to the start of the program and arrange details.
Students are only allowed to use phones or tablets during approved times. Phones are not allowed in lessons or classes, unless for educational purposes as directed by their faculty. Students who fail to comply with this rule may have their device confiscated.
Summer Performing Arts with Juilliard is not responsible for overseeing screen time or for the loss or left of valuables.
Yes. Every dorm has a kitchen where snacks and drinks can be stored. Students do not have access to a stove or oven, but they do have access to a refrigerator, freezer, and microwave in the dorms. Students will have short breaks throughout the day and should pack water and snacks as needed. Backpacks and reusable water bottles will be provided to each student.
The Boarding Staff will bring boarding students to stores for supplies — once when you first arrive and again in the middle of the program. They will have access to grocery items, as well as clothing and other items. The Winter Garden Village has numerous stores they can visit during supervised, planned times. Shopping is at the expense of the student.
