The National French Contest/Le Grand Concours is an annual competition sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of French.
Students of French in grades 1-12, in all 50 states and abroad, take an electronic test and compete against students with similar educational background for prizes.

On April 26 and 29th, Todd’s 8th grade French students participated in the Grand Concours otherwise known as the National French Contest. The American Association of Teachers of French sponsors this exam each year. It consists of listening and reading comprehension and cultural information. The exams are graded at national headquarters and the students are then ranked based on the number of correct responses. Spackenkill has been participating in this event for more than 30 years, with great success. We have consistently had chapter and national winners at all levels. We are very excited to announce our 2020 chapter and national winners at the 1A level.
