National Honor Society Information

National Honor Society is an academic service organization whose members are selected by a faculty council. Membership is by invitation for students whose cumulative average is at least 87.5 at the end of sophomore year or junior year if not eligible following sophomore year. Additionally, students must have attended Spackenkill High School for at least one semester. The pillars of the National Honor Society are scholarship, leadership, character and service. Upon being inducted into the local chapter, members are expected to maintain high academic standing, exhibit good character in all aspects of their lives, and volunteer in various organization and extra-curricular service programs.
