In order to be considered for membership in the Suffern Middle School chapter of the National Junior Honor Society, students must meet certain criteria. Specifically, candidates must have a minimum GPA of a firm 92%. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate leadership abilities, engage in service activities, and display strong character traits. Leadership can manifest in various ways, such as taking charge of class projects or holding a position in a club or team. Service involves volunteering time for the betterment of others, while character entails maintaining high standards of behavior.
Induction into the National Junior Honor Society signifies a student's dedication to excellence and adherence to high ideals. It provides an opportunity for students to connect with peers who share similar values and engage in meaningful community service projects. Chapter membership not only acknowledges students for their achievements, but also promotes ongoing personal growth through participation in school activities and service initiatives.
At the conclusion of the second marking period, the group's advisor will extend invitations to all eligible students to apply for admission. Interested students will be required to join a designated Google Classroom where they will receive all necessary information. It is imperative that students adhere to the outlined steps in order to successfully progress through the application process.
