March 24, Pose of the Week/24 de Marzo de 2021, Pose de Semana:
Its time for a birthday celebration, Let's light a candle! The yoga candle is an inverted (upside down) pose which calms the brain and stretches the shoulders and neck. We will learn 3 different variations of candle pose in this week's lesson.
March 16, Pose of the Week/Pose de Semana:
Bend your knees, and bring both of your legs up to your chest. Hold your legs a little below your knees. Gently hug your legs a little closer to your chest. Take a few relaxing breaths, then release your legs to your mat. This wind removing pose improves digestion and elimination by gently massaging the abdominal organs. It also releases tension in the belly area, hips and low back.
Half Wind Relieving Pose/ Interlace fingers and pull down one leg at a time. A calming stretch at the end of a yoga routine.

Week 19/Semano 19 : Groundhog Day*
February 2nd is not only Groundhog Day, it is also celebrated as midpoint between winter solstice and spring equinox, a time of celebrating the lengthening of days and the first signs of spring. This connection to light is our theme for today’s Yoga class. Think about the image of a groundhog coming out of the ground and looking for his shadow. Try crawling back into the burrow in CHILD's POSE, the arrival of spring in TREE POSE.
