Fourth Grade

In Fourth Grade, students will build upon previously learned concepts. In addition, grade four students will:

* Sing partner songs, musical rounds, and ostinatos

* Sing using solfege syllables (Do-Sol)

* Read and understand sixteenth notes

* Read and understand how to use time signatures 2/4, 3/4, and 4/4

* Play simple chordal accompaniments

* Arrange music to poetry

* Compose and improvise melodies in a C major scale

* Introduction to form concepts, AB and ABA

* Use technology to compose (i.e. Garageband)
