Course Overview
Spanish 1
Spanish 1 introduces students to the basics of the Spanish language and the cultures of the Spanish-speaking world. Through engaging, interactive lessons, students will develop foundational skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Topics center on everyday communication and cultural understanding.
Spanish 2
Spanish 2 builds upon skills acquired in Spanish 1 and introduces more complex grammar and vocabulary. Students will improve their ability to express themselves in Spanish through speaking, writing, and reading activities. The course deepens cultural knowledge and encourages connections between language and real-world contexts.

Describe people and places using basic vocabulary
Ask and answer questions in simple conversations

Spanish 2 Objectives
Students will:
Use present, preterite, and imperfect tenses in context
Expand conversational skills with more detailed vocabulary
Describe past events and future plans
Engage in short dialogues and interpret more complex texts
Explore and compare cultural perspectives across countries

Late Work & Make-Up Policy
Late work may receive partial credit unless excused - highest grade you may achieve is a 70. Make-up work is the student's responsibility and must be completed within 3 days from the assigned date.
