This course provides students with an introduction to the care, management, and health of companion animals during the first semester and horses during the second semester. Through classroom instruction, laboratory activities, and hands-on learning, students develop the knowledge and skills needed to responsibly care for animals while exploring careers in the animal industry.

Students have opportunities to participate in FFA leadership activities, Career Development Events (CDEs), and Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAEs) related to animal science and the equine industry.
