Class overview

The Agricultural Science Program provides students with hands-on learning experiences that prepare them for careers, college, and leadership opportunities in the agriculture industry. Students explore a wide variety of topics including animal science, plant science, agricultural mechanics, natural resources, agribusiness, and agricultural technology while developing valuable skills in communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving.

Our program combines classroom instruction, laboratory activities, shop experiences, and real-world applications to help students gain practical knowledge they can use beyond high school. Students are encouraged to participate in the three-circle model of agricultural education:

• Classroom & Laboratory Instruction – Engaging, hands-on lessons that connect agricultural concepts to real-world experiences.

• FFA – Leadership development, career development events, community service, and personal growth opportunities.

• Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) – Individual projects that allow students to apply what they learn through entrepreneurship, placement, research, or service.
