Literacy is very important for all ages. Reading, writing, listening, and speaking are fundamental aspects of life. Research shows that practicing these each day helps develop critical communication skills. A student spends about 900 hours at school and 7,800 hours at home in a year. We encourage you to spend some time at home focusing on literacy activities. This site was created to give you ideas and activities to help increase the love of literacy in your home.
