Following on from meetings with senior management it has been decided that these will be the funding goals of the PTA going forward into the 2024/2025 Academic year:
Revamping KS1 & KS2 Playtime
It has been decided that playtime at St Vincent's needs a huge overhaul and boost. We are working with a company called OPAL to audit playtime at St Vincent's, the whole process will take 12-18 months and will redesign the areas we use and improve the ethos around play at St Vincent's. The children spend 20% of their time at School playing - and learning through this play. It is essential to everyone at St Vincent's that this time is fun and we are fully utilising what we already have as well as improving on it. This ongoing project has already started to take shape but we estimate PTA spends for this to be around £20,000 plus. Please stay tuned for what is to come!
School Counsellor
Our children deserve the best for their mental health and development. Where needed, having emotional and social support is a great addition for their educational success. The school has decided to employ a School Counsellor to be on-site initially once a week to provide help and support for our children. We have been asked to help support this cost by paying half of these annual costs. Over three years this would cost the PTA £11,500 with a break down of:
First year: £3,250
Second year: £4,000
Third year: £4,250
Coaches
The PTA will continue to cover roughly half of all Coach costs for the school. This equates annually to £5,000 with a top up rolling fund of £1,500. Coaches & School Trips Initiative - Crowdfunding through JustGiving - click HERE to find out more!!
Ongoing Commitment Spends
Did you know in addition to the above we pay for Christmas Books, Rosaries, Easter Eggs, the Christmas Panto, and finally the SATs breakfast. These smaller but very necessary items will take up annually around £3,000 of the PTA’s budget.
Going forward, around £13,500 will go to our committed spends, meaning that everything else will go towards the Playground Revamping project!
